Lost/Found Brooklyn: 1 mile + 1 phone
Like sands shifting, urbanites leave marks on their surroundings. From gum to paint to trash and scratches to a familiar surface, the movement of so many bodies with such vibrant lives leaves behind a trail of modern-life. City fossils.

This never-static, infinitely fascinating world of visual layers is just lying there, ripe for discovery. The 1 phone + 1 mile project is a way for me to document these visual gems in Williamsburg's rapidly changing urban landscape that will soon vanish (many already have) as Williamsburg transitions into a high-rise, high-gloss urban center.

All photos on this site are my original work taken with 1 iPhone within 1 mile of my apartment beginning April 2010 in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. For a limited time the Lost/Found Brooklyn: 1 Mile + 1 Phone project book was available exclusively at MoMA Design & Books: 11 W. 53rd Street NYC. Now for a LTD time you can order either the original hard-copy or an eBook version at: http://www.blurb.com/my/book/detail/2302857
